From 1993 to 1996, Malik Zemri, alias Klima
created, in Paris, jewellery, which he called "barock" ornaments
combining wood, stone, metal, bone, horn, electronic components
In 1997, he moved to Montpellier. Having
a need to create larger formats, he launched himself into the mosaic,
including at the beginning of the metal to earthenware. Thereafter he
held sen to multiple types of existing glazed terracotta.
Until 2005, he produced mosaic panel (some
of which are visible on http://moz.klima.free.fr).
2006 looks like a turn. Gradually, Klima replaces terracotta, and expanded
his palette with various materials: copper pipes, computer maps, geographic,
aviation, electronic components, printed paper and various everyday
objects
(see
assemblage pages)
In 2008, Klima rose to acrylic painting,
beginning with the associate to collage maps before devoting himself
primarily to the color.
Currently the technique is to apply a smooth coating on wood medium
to give a consistency of material, then draws one or more human body
seen from above. From there, the paint is applied with various utensils
spontaneous manner according to the inspiration of the moment.

Old approach of assemblages :
taking with claws of time
some bits in disuse few selected pieces

that life delivers to us
without instructions
to try through pictures
precarious balances

Inspired
including the New Realist movement, my work comes to an appropriation
of reality by the use of objects recovered.
My present approach takes the satellite
image of the earth as a reference object, to try to extract different
views of the world.
I begin by asking this reference image
as a benchmark with the symbol topological "You Are Here".
This symbol tain seems like a mirror of our representations.
By stating the premise of "you
are here", the picture raises questions about the meaning "to
be here" at the telecommunications and transport of broadband.
Whatever the physical location where
you are, two certainties and intérogation needed: "we
are both on Earth and in our bodies," but "where we are
in the heart of a real still running away and always there, under
a nebulous layer ? "
By assembling various objects within
frames, I try a "associational poetry " with fragments of
the world, each work pieces trying to express a tiny whole.
From a "recycling" materials
and objects worn inoperable, abandoned by the roadside, the axis of
my focuses on the breakup of our representations of geographical space
and our reports at the time, moved by the power of technology and
flow of all kinds.
Lost that I select are from my journey.
Generally they are lying on the bottom side, transparent "view
of the useful". They are like fossils from the contemporary.
I have a visceral rapport with materials, forms, inert in appearance.
The memory, the passage of our perception
of time, the disparate representations of the world as we know it
run the syntax that I explore blindness in the wings of our imagination.
